AsiaSoft Games Festival 2011 Malaysia - Event Coverage

Held at Concourse Area, Fahrenheit 88 (Formerly KL Plaza), Kuala Lumpur. So my first impression was, why Asiasoft? I felt that the event area was small and to cross from one side to another was difficult. Anyway there was around 7 game booths (Cabal SEA, Maple Story SEA, Aika SEA, Planet Arkadia, Playpark, XW online SEA, and a random Chinese game). Everyone was in a gold rush mode to get a goody bag containing magazines, lanyards, a poster calender and an energy drink each with an additional lucky draw item from a box  (Ouch, I only got a notepad). The catch is you have to fill up the Pursuit card to get those items with a stamp from all 7 game booths. Not to worry as it is easy to obtain the stamps at the expense of a long queue. That made me sad as I want to be on stage to get a Gunner specs (mid-day) and some other pricey goods.

But, only two things interest me a lot, the first is CabalSEA, a sneak peak of the new dungeon, Marquinas Outpost and Drei Frame armor . We had to form a tag team of two people to finish up the dungeon with premade characters. Once finished, we can win each a T-shirt ( labeled either Procyon or Capella ), and got myself a Procyon Shirt (will upload here picture soon)


Overall, the management did a good job in promoting various games with the pursuit card ( I didn't know XW online and Planet Arkadia even existed), nice goodies give away ( Gunner specs and Razer esentials) and most importantly the friendly staffs of Asiasoft from my point of view. Only thing is that I wished Asiasoft Malaysia will pick a better location (bigger area) and throw in more exciting activities next time.
